Our Email Chat Group
When you join The Village Birders, you are automatically entered into our Google Group, email@example.com. This is our primary means of communication among the members of the club. The Google Group is used to share information about club activities, to post information about bird sightings and birding events, and to share photographs of birds seen.
You will receive an email notifying you that you have been added to the group. You will then receive every email that club members post to the Group. It is a closed Group -- only members of the club are included in the Group.
To send a message to the Group simply address an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. You will also receive a copy of the email that you sent. When you "Reply" to a message from the Group, your reply will go only to the original poster. If you want your message to go to the entire Group, try using "Reply All."
You do not need to have a Gmail account to receive and post messages to the Google Group. But if you use a different email address you might consider creating a Gmail account and linking it to your other email address. If you have a Gmail account, you can log into the account and see the Google Group conversation at www.googlegroups.com.
At the end of each email from the Group you will see the following information:
