Bird walk report - Wood Duck Drive

Better late than never! Another great day at the marsh as we totaled 52 species for the day and our FOS Black-necked Stilts

Birds Seen Today:
Blue-Winged Teal, Pied-Billed Grebe, Double-Crested Cormorant, Anhinga, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Snowy Egret, Little Blue Heron, Tricolored Heron, Cattle Egret, White Ibis, Glossy Ibis, Black Vulture, Turkey Vulture, Osprey, Bald Eagle, Northern Harrier, Red-Shouldered Hawk, Purple Gallinule, Sora, Common Moorhen, American Coot, Limpkin, Black-Necked Stilt, Greater Yellowlegs, Lesser Yellowlegs, Mourning Dove, Red-Bellied Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, N. Flicker, E. Phoebe, American Crow, Fish Crow, Tree Swallow, Carolina Wren, N. Parula, Palm Warbler, Black-&-White Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Savanah Sparrow, Swamp Sparrow, N. Cardinal, Red-Winged Blackbird, Boat-Tailed Grackle And Brown-Headed Cowbird.


Birds Heard Today:
Eurasian Collared-Dove, Pileated Woodpecker, White-Eyed Vireo, Tufted Titmouse, House Wren, Sedge Wren And Gray Catbird.

Next Up:

Cedar Key, Thursday 4-10, meet at the 466 Wal-mart, 6:15 AM, this is an all day trip. Moss Bluff Rookery, Friday 4-18, meet at Belks 8 AM, aprox. 3 hour trip. Potts Preserve, Thursday 4-24, meet at the 466 Wal-mart, 7 AM, this is a half day trip with lunch.
