Bird walk report -Sunnyhill Levee Trail

Date: Friday October 6, 2006

A great turn out for our first walk of the 06/07 season with aprox. 35 folks eager to walk in the woods and welcome the new arrivals and greet the old. So great to see all of you again as we get our new season under way. After the drive through the fog the day heated up and so did the birds with 40 species accounted for. By the way after checking out my Thayers birding CD I'm sure the bird that we heard that was loud, repetitive and mournful was a Common Ground-Dove. I think someone suggested that, good job. The arrivals only go up from here so don't miss our next outing.
