Bird walk report - Potts Preserve
Date: Thursday, Apr 24, 2008
It was a beautiful day at Pott's Preserve today. The cool morning air kept the birds singing and active all day. There were some interesting birds driving in on the gravel road as we entered the preserve. Starting down the trail we were greeted by a singing male Blue Grosbeak. Then Bill spotted a pair of Summer Tanagers with the male a dazzling red and the female a bright yellowish color. At lunch we were treated to long sightings of three Swallow-tailed Kites. We all missed Barb's company and birding ability.
