Bird walk report - Lake Panasoffkee Wildlife Management Area

Date: Friday, January 19, 2007

A great day for a walk and BINGO the target bird (redheaded woodpecker) met us in the parking lot. The birders with cameras were busy snapping pictures as my car was last to arrive after watching the towhee from the entrance road. I did place my order ahead of time! Also a meadowlark perched high on a low tree sang his "spring of the year" in full sunshine.
