Bird walk report - Carney Island

Date: Thursday, Oct 29, 2009

Another HOT day in Florida but the birds were out for us with a day total of 45 species. If you have to pick a bird of the day mine would be the cute little Ovenbird that skulked along the side of the path but popped up on the low branch for all to see. He didn't seem to care that 30 people were admiring him. Thanks little Ovenbird! We followed up the mornings birding with a nice lunch & conversation at Gator Joe's, where more birds joined us.
