The Village Birders Club

Bird walk report -Bear Head Trail

Date: Friday, March 9, 2007

Great songs of spring by the white-eyed vireo, northern parula and pine warbler, what a treat! While doing the bird count, our bird of the day made it's appearance, as the club was treated to the spring arrival of two swallow-tailed kites. Now that's beautiful!!!!!!!! Following the Bear Head walk four cars toured the Citrus County landfill to view the many bald eagles there. Let's not forget the stop at the CITGO Station where Hugo the resident florida scrub jay made an appearance.
